There are some things I wish I'd known earier and done differently, here's a few.

1

Should have taken someone to 1st appointment, it could have been - "go away there's nothing wrong" I'd have felt daft dragging a friend along but it wasn't so simple and if I'd not been the kind of person I am it could have been too difficult on my own.

See a dentist as soon as you know you are having chemo - apparently they won't see youfor treatment during chemo, so you need to get any treatment out of the way before you start.

3

I wish I'd known about the wire marker implant  sooner as I could have got it in sooner I now have to fit it in between chemo sessions. Ask your consultant about this.

Also when they tried to put it in 3 weeks after 1st chemo they took 20 mins to actually find the lump with ultra sound. Your surgeon should ask for it before you see an oncologist!!!! If your surgeon can't find the lump they have to do more radical surgery.

You are entitled to free prescritions for 5 years at least. Fill in a form at your GP. It's worth getting things like nausea tabs, laxatives etc before you need them so you have them to hand so you can get on top of anything before it becomes a problem.
